President Ilham Aliyev received the Minister of Environment and Energy Security of Italy

On March 1, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received the Minister of Environment and Energy Security of the Italian Republic, Gilberto Pichetto Fratin, who participated in the 10^th meeting of the Ministers within the framework of the Southern Gas Corridor Consultative Council and the 2^nd meeting of the Ministers within the framework of the Green Energy Consultative Council.

Gilberto Pichetto Fratin congratulated Ilham Aliyev on the occasion of his victory in the presidential elections and the holding of COP29 in our country.

The head of our state expressed his gratitude for the congratulations.

The Italian minister said that this year his country is the Chair of G7, and expressed the importance of the Azerbaijani side, hosting the COP29, to participate in the special meeting of the ministers of ecology and mineral resources of the G7 countries and extended the invitation in this regard.

Economic relations between our countries were touched upon at the meeting, the cooperation of various Italian companies, including "Ansaldi", "Leonardo", "Maire Tecnimont", as well as their activity in our liberated territories were noted with satisfaction.

During the conversation, views were exchanged on the prospects of cooperation.
